Excellent fix for a cold seat!

I bought this repair kit for my '02 Grand Cherokee Overland's driver seat which showed power to the switch but no heat in the seat. A quick scan of the internet (JeepForum) showed some basics on how to remove the leather cover on the seat after removing the seat from the car. I quickly found the break in the stock heating element and carefully pulled the stock elements off (adhesively attached as these elements are). Total repair time estimate of 1.5 hrs but that was for my first uneducated replacement. Next time should be far faster. This kit has three pieces which I actually like BETTER than stock as it allows heat to the far forward corners of the seat now. The elements 'may' be slightly thicker in gauge diameter as it takes a minute or so longer to heat up. I think this is a positive thing as a thicker wire should last longer I hope. Heat output is excellent. I am now buying a second one for my father in law's '01 Limited GC.

The install was very easy and the kit comes with the tools. All of the plugs were correct. Great repair kit.

A nice improvement!

I was just looking for the replacement of a defective heater, but got much more. This design fixes the problem which caused the failure in that it is made in 3 segment that are connected at the back of the seat cushion eliminating the wire crossing under the metal bar at the front of the cushion. It is working better than the original.
