Excellent Quality

This rear seat cover for my 2011 Mini Cooper is beautifully made and worth the money. The sides, however, are difficult to stay put with the plastic clips. The clips on either side must be positioned with the center fold facing in, for it to stay put which is not always guaranteed. Since it is a felt-type material (over foam and vinyl backed), I wouldn't wash it even though the directions say it can be machine washed. I have a Black and Decker Dust Buster with a pet hair tool which will be perfect. The instructions for the backs of the front seats are wrong and seem to show the older hard-back front seats of the 2008 (?) and earlier MINIs. There are no side attachments for the back covers of the front seats. The previous side attachments as seen from the illustrative directions, which are slightly difficult to understand, seem to show ties or clips going into the molded plastic seat backs, which are no longer made. You only slip the top through the head rest and the bottom of the back cover through the front seat back bottom. The front seat back covers are probably not needed if your dogs aren't jumping all over the place and the seat back covers are are a little loose. If you are loading cargo that may tear the back of your front seats, then it's a great idea. It seems I have some negatives but the seat covers are beautiful, well crafted with well placed zippers and will provide comfort for pets, protection for your upholstery-especially if you have leatherette and protection from cargo as well. Love them.

Not a bad product, but the side covers don't attach well and keep flipping down. Dog seems to like them.

Back Seat Cover Mini 2007

I bought this back seat cover in 2007 for $169. The retail price now is $260. To begin with the material is made from a kind of felt and secures to the back headrests and sides. It incorporates a number of zippers that adds to its complexity, but with time the cover is easy to install. It's durable and can be easily cleaned with a vacum. The zippers began to fray two years after my purchase. I bought a cheaper version that worked well for a few months, but didn't offer as much protection and looked worn after two washings. Now, I found the original product on Amazon for $230 instead of the $295 that my MINI dealer wants for the same product.
